First appointment
We are excited to meet you and are honored that you have chosen our practice for your dental needs!
It is a good idea to arrive 15 minutes early in order to provide us the following information so we can maximize your appointment time:
- Insurance information
- Complete Medical History; including a list of all of your Medications.
What to expect on your first visit
This appointment is our chance to get to know you. We will gather as much information as possible from you in order to help you reach your dental goals and needs safely, comfortably and efficiently.
With your permission, your first visit may include the following:
- A review of your medical and dental history
- An intra-oral and extra-oral exam
- A review of X-rays (if you don’t have X-rays taken within 1 year, we recommend having them taken at this time)
- A thorough exam of your teeth for cavities, cracks, chipped teeth, missing teeth, discolored teeth, and missing or broken fillings
- An exam of gums and bone for signs of disease.
- Scaling (cleaning)
- Polishing
- Fluoride Rinse (if recommended)
- Oral hygiene instructions (if recommended)
At the end of this appointment we will go over any issues that were discovered during the exam with you, the different treatment options for addressing these issues, and then form a customized treatment plan in order to suit your needs.
Again, we are excited to meet you and welcome you to your dental home!
Financial information
Financial arrangements
Assignment of benefits is accepted from most major insurance companies for any basic dental treatment, such as cleanings, fillings, root canals and extractions. Any co-payment or deductible is due at the time of service. We offer electronic billing which makes submitting claims fast and easy.
CDCP-Canadian Dental Care Plan- Great news! King East Dental accepts CDCP! Contact us with your insurance card information so that we can help you find out when your plan is active and what your out of pocket costs will be! (Please note: We follow the Ontario Fee guide of the current year so even though CDCP says 100% coverage, it might be from a different fee guide)
For any major/cosmetic treatment or insurance plans which do not accept assignment of benefits, full payment is due at time of service.
Payment options
We accept most insurance plans. We are happy to file all insurance claims on your behalf. We are prepared to supply your insurance provider with the necessary radiographs, photographs and any other material that will help them. If you have insurance; co-payments, deductibles and any balance that your insurance does not cover, are due in full at the time of service.
We will make every effort to help you recover all benefits from your insurance. If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card with you on your first visit.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and debit card.
